Spectreality Studios: Artwork by Anna Chlewicki Lightfoot
The visual art of Anna Chlewicki Lightfoot focuses on identifying and communicating what she finds arresting and moving in the essences of both nature and human emotion. Her abstract paintings, often vivid and lyrical, span varying stylistic influences: from the hard edge geometry of Mondrian, to the painterly color fields of Chagall, and the quiet minimalism of O’Keefe. Currently painting in a cubist style exemplified by Picasso, Anna’s figures communicate vignettes of human emotion through exploring posture, expression, and the psychology of color.
Anna studied visual arts at California’s Humboldt State University, where she concentrated in painting, design, and drawing. She has shown work locally in both California and Florida. Her work has appeared in guest shows at Jacksonville’s Art Center, with Springfield's Adrift gallery series, and has also been hosted at a variety of local businesses and alternative art spaces.
